Photographs Blott Private View. Catering by Kwizeen, Blackpool!

Here are a few photographs of the Corrine Streetly and Gavin Edmonds joint exhibition private view earlier this week. We had a great turn out for the opening night and would like to say a big thank you to local restaurant, Kwizeen, for kindly offering to cater the event. The vast spread of delicious canapes were thoroughly enjoyed. Kwizeen Restaurant is located a few doors down from Blott Artist Studios at 49 King Street, Blackpool.

Gavin Edmonds is a Kent based artist and has work currently showing along side Corrine Streetly in Blott Studios, 53 King Street, Blackpool.

The show is open to the public from today until the 24th September 2011.

Artist Statement:

Echo, Reflect, Transmute.

 Motive:

I wanted to make work that was important to me. 

  Paintings that I felt I needed to make.

This work is autobiographical.

Process: 

The work is formed from family photographs, memory, dreams and specific local imagery.

 Also research during the making to resolve and expand upon the content and process involved.

Materials:

I tried to choose my materials very carefully, to where possible convey meaning with each choice.       

     

Blott latest exhibition

 

Preparations are taking place at Blott Artist Studios for the opening of the joint exhibition on Saturday 3^rd September 2011. Featuring the work of Kent based artist Gavin Edmonds and local artist Corrine Streetly.
The show will be open to the public from Monday 5th - Saturday 24th September 2011. 

Laura Havenhand: Up-coming exhibitions.

Laura has a number of up-coming exhibitions and here you can see what she is planning in the near future. 

Her solo show in Cambridge will be taking place in June and July 2012 at Murry Edwards College.
